More than Just Photos

The Experience Behind the Images

Welcoming a new baby into the world is one of the sweetest and most emotional seasons of life and newborn photography is about so much more than simply taking photos. From the moment you book, every detail is thoughtfully planned to create a calm, comfortable, and meaningful experience for your family.

Your session is designed with care from beginning to end. From safely soothing and posing your baby, to preparing the studio, selecting beautiful props and soft textures, allowing time for feeding and cuddles, and hand editing every final image. So much love and intention goes into each session. These moments are fleeting, and my goal is to preserve them in a way that feels timeless, genuine, and full of emotion.

Before you session, we love to give our clients a chance to call and chat with them about their vision for their session and answer any questions you may have! I truly love getting to know my families and hearing what you are envisioning for this special season of life. From there, I will design each setup with your family in mind so your session feels personal, and uniquely yours. Every detail is carefully chosen to bring your vision to life while also creating timeless images you will cherish for years to come.

You are not just investing in photos. You are investing in preserving a season of life that passes far too quickly, with artwork created carefully and with love.

How does newborn photography work?

When do I book my newborn photography session?

When you are about 15 weeks along, you can start looking at packages and getting ready to book. I recommend booking your newborn session 2-3 months prior to your due date. This gives you and your photographer enough time to discuss the session, answer any questions you may have, and secures your session spot for that month.

How does booking a newborn photography session work?

Once you decide which newborn photography package you would like, it’s time to book! When you book, I will put your due date in as the session date. This helps remind me when you are due and holds your spot for that month. I will send you a booking link to fill out and once your deposit is paid, your spot will be secured. When your sweet baby arrives, you can email us and let us know. That is when we will schedule an actual newborn session date. We typically try to book newborn sessions within 1-3 weeks after the baby is born because that is prime baby picture time! When you book your session, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire to answer questions about your goals for your newborn session! 24 hours before you session, you will receive an email with your booking link, all the info for the session and a prep guide to help you know what to expect!

What can I expect from a newborn session?

When you come to our photography studio for your session, we will have everything already set up when you get there based on your questionnaire answers. We will work to get your sweet newborn’s photos based on the baby’s cues. We will always work the baby to ensure the baby is happy and comfy while we get those cute, squishy newborn photos. Sometimes the baby may need to eat, have a diaper change, or snuggle mama and daddy! That’s okay! We want the baby to be as happy as possible for your newborn session so we can get those beautiful photos of your precious little one.
